Do not race the cold engine
Do not run the engine to maximum speed in each gear
Ensure tyres are inflated to the correct specified air pressure.
Avoid lengthy warm up idling.
Avoid frequent and violent acceleration/deceleration and high speed driving.
Avoid unnecessary stoppages/braking.
Avoid heavy traffic and traffic jams whenever and wherever possible.
Stop engine when you expect long duration stop on road, e.g. at signal points/traffic jam.
Maintain moderate speed on highways.
Drive at constant speed as far as possible.
Use the clutch only when it's required and avoid clutch riding.
Never turn off the engine while coasting down the hill.
Ensure to fill specified quality fuel from authorized reputed fuel filling stations
Observe the fuel consumption and if found irregular, immediately attend through authorized workshop.
When parking on a hill, turn the front wheels
until they touch the curb so that the vehicle will not roll.
Make sure your coolant is properly protected against freezing.
Check the condition of the battery and cables. Cold temperatures reduce the capacity of any battery.
Do not use engine antifreeze or any other substitute because it may damage your vehicle paint.
Do not use your parking brake when there is a possibility it could freeze.
Keep your tyres inflated at the correct pressure.
Accelerate slowly and smoothly. Avoid jackrabbit starts. Get into high gear as quickly as possible.
Avoid continuous speeding up and slowing down.
Do not rest your foot on the clutch or brake pedal.
Maintain a moderate speed on highways.
Keep the front wheels in proper alignment
Keep the bottom of your vehicle free from mud etc.
